Indicates Charge Quantity and Polarity
The LTC®4150 measures battery depletion and charging n
±50mV Sense Voltage Range
in handheld PC and portable product applications. The n Precision Timer Capacitor or Crystal Not Required device monitors current through an external sense resistor n 2.7V to 8.5V Operation between the battery’s positive terminal and the battery’s n High Side Sense load or charger. A voltage-to-frequency converter trans- n 32.55Hz/V Charge Count Frequency forms the current sense voltage into a series of output n 1.5μA Shutdown Current pulses at the interrupt pin. These pulses correspond to a n 10-Pin MSOP Package fi xed quantity of charge fl owing into or out of the battery. The part also indicates charge polarity as the battery is
